The Role: We are looking for a hands-on Python Architect / Senior Python Developer with robust expertise in Python backend development, solution architecture, system design, microservices, APIs, cloud platforms, and modern GenAI/LLM application development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing scalable, secure, high-performance backend platforms and AI-driven applications. The role requires a strong balance of architecture ownership and hands-on coding, with the ability to work across system design, development, integrations, production deployment, and technical problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
Architecture & Solution Design
- Design and lead the architecture of scalable, secure and high-performance Python-based applications and platforms .
- Define technical architecture, system design, design patterns and technology choices for complex business requirements.
- Design microservices-based architectures , API-driven systems and distributed applications.
- Translate business and functional requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
- Drive architecture decisions covering performance, scalability, reliability, security, observability and cost optimization .
- Prepare architecture documents, technical specifications, solution designs and architectural diagrams.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams.
Python Backend Development
- Develop production-grade backend applications using Python .
- Design and develop RESTful APIs and backend services using frameworks such as FastAPI and Django .
- Build scalable and loosely coupled microservices .
- Implement asynchronous and event-driven workflows.
- Apply appropriate design patterns, coding standards and software engineering best practices .
- Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality, maintainable and testable code.
- Remain hands-on with development,
debugging and complex technical issues.
GenAI / LLM Application Development
- Design and develop GenAI and LLM-powered enterprise applications .
- Build AI Agents, RAG, Agentic RAG and GraphRAG solutions.
- Work with LangGraph, LangChain and other LLM orchestration frameworks .
- Design LLM workflows involving tool calling, retrieval, embeddings, memory and multi-step orchestration .
- Evaluate and select appropriate LLMs, embedding models and retrieval strategies based on business requirements.
- Implement prompt engineering, prompt management and LLM evaluation .
- Integrate LLM capabilities into existing enterprise applications and backend services.
- Design reliable AI applications with appropriate fallback mechanisms, validation and failure handling .
AI / Automation Platform
- Build intelligent automation across operational and business workflows.
- Integrate AI solutions with ERP, OMS, WMS, external APIs, partner portals and enterprise systems .
- Identify processes where LLMs/AI can provide meaningful business value while using deterministic software where reliability is more important.
- Develop prototypes and PoCs to evaluate new AI technologies and use cases.
- Convert manual and complex business processes into reliable, scalable and observable software solutions.
APIs, Integrations & Distributed Systems
- Design and implement REST APIs, third-party integrations and enterprise integrations .
- Work with asynchronous processing, messaging and event-driven architectures.
- Develop integrations with external platforms and internal enterprise systems.
- Ensure API security, reliability, scalability and performance.
- Work with technologies such as Kafka, Redis and other messaging/caching solutions .
Database & Data Engineering
- Design efficient data models and database architectures.
- Work extensively with SQL and relational databases .
- Develop optimized queries and ensure database performance.
- Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL and other enterprise databases .
- Work with NoSQL and vector databases where required for AI applications.
- Design data pipelines and data flows supporting AI/GenAI applications.
Cloud, DevOps & Deployment
- Design and deploy applications on AWS, Azure or GCP .
- Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments .
- Implement application monitoring, logging, tracing and observability.
- Ensure production systems meet required standards for availability, scalability, security and performance .
Performance,
Security & Reliability
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across application, API and database layers.
- Design systems for high availability, scalability and fault tolerance.
- Implement secure coding practices and appropriate application security controls.
- Define and monitor non-functional requirements including latency, reliability, observability and cost .
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root-cause analysis.
Technical Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor developers and provide technical guidance on architecture and development practices.
- Lead technical discussions, design reviews and architecture reviews.
- Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders and engineering teams.
- Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Work effectively in lean, cross-functional and distributed teams .
- Take ownership from architecture and development through deployment, debugging and production support .
Must - Have Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years of software development experience , with strong experience in software architecture and system design.
- Expert-level Python development with strong production-grade coding experience.
- Strong experience with FastAPI.
- Strong experience in REST API development and Microservices architecture .
- Robust experience with system design, architecture patterns, scalability and performance optimization .
- Strong experience with SQL, PostgreSQL and database design .
- Proven experience in solution architecture and enterprise application design .
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architecture
- Hands-on experience with Redis and Kafka or similar caching/messaging technologies.
- Strong experience with AWS, Azure or GCP .
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes .
- Solid understanding of CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, logging and observability .
- Strong hands-on experience in GenAI / LLM application development .
- Experience building AI Agents, RAG, Agentic RAG and/or GraphRAG applications.
- Strong experience with LangGraph and LangChain or equivalent orchestration frameworks.
- Experience with LLM integration, prompt engineering, tool calling and embeddings .
- Understanding of LLMOps, AI application monitoring and productionization .
Preferred Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Experience in e-commerce, logistics, supply chain, ERP, OMS or WMS domains.
- Experience integrating ERP, OMS, WMS, partner portals and external APIs.
- Ability to remain hands-on while owning architecture and technical decisions .
