The Role: We are looking for a hands-on Python Developer with strong backend engineering fundamentals to design, develop, deploy, debug, and operate reliable software systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python, backend engineering, APIs, integrations, asynchronous workflows, data modeling, and SQL , along with a pragmatic understanding of applied AI and LLMs.

This role offers an opportunity to work in a lean, cross-functional environment , contribute to architecture and product direction, and take ownership of solutions from development through production.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, test, deploy, debug,



and operate Python-based backend applications and services .
- Build scalable and reliable backend systems, APIs, integrations, and asynchronous workflows .
- Design and implement robust integrations with internal and external systems through APIs and other integration mechanisms.
- Develop effective data models, database structures, queries, and SQL-based solutions to support business applications.
- Analyze complex business and operational requirements and translate them into practical, scalable technical solutions.
- Build reliable automation solutions that simplify manual and operational processes.
- Contribute to system architecture, technical design, product direction, and engineering practices .
- Take ownership of applications and services throughout their lifecycle, including development, deployment, monitoring, debugging, and production support .
- Work closely with product, business, and other cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Apply LLMs and AI-based approaches where they provide meaningful value and improve automation or efficiency.
- Evaluate when to use AI/LLM-based solutions versus deterministic software approaches , selecting the option that provides the best balance of reliability, maintainability, and business value.
- Identify technical challenges,



troubleshoot production issues, and implement sustainable solutions.
- Participate in building 0-to-1 solutions and continuously improve existing systems and engineering practices.

Must-Have Qualifications

- Minimum 4 years of hands-on software/backend development experience .
- Strong proficiency in Python development .
- Strong fundamentals in Backend Engineering .
- Strong experience with API development and integrations .
- Good understanding of asynchronous programming and workflows .
- Strong experience with FastAPI and/or Django.
- Strong experience with SQL, PostgreSQL and database design .

- Strong experience with AWS, Azure or GCP .

- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes .

- Experience designing and developing reliable and maintainable backend services.
- Understanding of system design and architecture .
- Good experience of Applied AI and LLMs

.

- Ability to evaluate and select LLM/AI solutions vs. deterministic software based on the business requirement.
- Model training (LLM or otherwise) and integration experience

- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to independently take solutions from design through production .

Preferred Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

· Experience in e-commerce, logistics, supply chain, ERP systems.

· Build intelligence and automation across distribution and supply-chain workflows.

· Turn messy, manual operational processes into reliable and observable software systems
