Role Summary

We are looking for a media relations powerhouse to join our Public Relations vertical as an Account Executive. This is a client-facing, execution-and-strategy role for someone who lives and breathes the news cycle — who has robust, earned relationships with journalists and editors, a sharp read on industry and competitive movements, and the discipline to translate all of that into measurable outcomes for clients. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable pitching a story on deadline, leading a client call, and presenting a clean, KPI-mapped monthly report.

The Account

Executive variant of this role carries additional ownership: leading client strategy conversations with less oversight, mentoring junior team members (AEs and Associates), and taking greater accountability for account profitability and retention.

Responsibilities specific to the senior band are called out below.

Key Responsibilities

1. Media Relations & Journalist Relationships

- Owns day-to-day media outreach — pitching stories, securing placements, and following up with best journalists, editors, and influencers across print, broadcast, digital, and trade media.
- Builds and maintains a strong personal media network, with active, credible relationships with key journalists relevant to client industries — not just a static media list.
- Drafts and refines media materials — press releases, pitch notes, media alerts, briefing documents, Q&As;, and byline articles — ensuring accuracy and alignment with client messaging.
- Tracks and reports media coverage, ensuring clippings, sentiment, and share-of-voice data are captured accurately and shared with clients on schedule.

2. Industry & Competitive Intelligence

- Stays on top of industry news, trends, and regulatory developments relevant to client sectors, proactively flagging opportunities and risks.
- Tracks competitor PR activity — announcements, media coverage, campaigns,

and spokesperson visibility —and builds this into client strategy and reporting.
- Brings a point of view to client conversations, using industry and competitive context to guide messaging, timing, and story angles.

3. Client Servicing & Communication

- Serves as a primary day-to-day contact for assigned client accounts, managing communication with responsiveness, clarity, and professionalism.
- Runs status calls, WIP meetings, and check-ins, keeping clients informed on progress, blockers, and upcoming opportunities.
- Manages client expectations proactively, flagging risks early and coming with solutions rather than just problems.
- Builds trusted, long-term client relationships that support account retention and growth.

.

4. Planning, KPI Management & Reporting

- Owns monthly planning — building forward-looking media and outreach calendars aligned to client goals and key dates (product launches, results, industry events).
- Ensures every activity is mapped to a KPI, so that client work is measurable and defensible — not activity for its own sake.
- Flags KPI shortfalls early and proposes corrective action rather than surfacing issues only at month-end.

Required Skills & Experience

- 2–4 years of experience in public relations, with a strong emphasis on media relations; agency background strongly preferred over in-house-only experience.
- Track record of securing earned media coverage and managing multi-stakeholder client accounts.

Skills & Competencies

- Excellent written and verbal communication — able to write a sharp press release and hold a confident client conversation.
- Strong news judgment and the ability to spot and shape a story angle.
- Strong organisational skills — able to manage multiple accounts, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Calm under pressure, especially around breaking news, crisis moments, or last-minute client requests.
- Collaborative mindset — works well with creative, digital, and social teams on integrated campaigns.

Location - Gurugram (Hybrid)

Working days - 5 days a week

Salary Budget - Upto 6 LPA
