About the Position

Central Sanskrit University, Shri Sadashiva Campus, Puri, invites applications from eligible and interested candidates for the position of Project Associate under the IKS Research Center on Vedic Cognitive Sciences and Speech Traditions.

The selected candidate will work with the Principal Investigator (PI) and support research, academic, documentation, and outreach activities related to Vedic Cognitive Sciences, Speech Traditions, Sanskrit studies, and Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS).

Eligibility CriteriaEssential Qualification

Candidates must have

- A Master's Degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in Sanskrit, Education, Psychology, Linguistics, IKS, or any allied discipline from a recognized university;

OR

- Acharya / M.A. in Sanskrit or an allied discipline, wherever applicable.

Desirable Qualifications Preference will be given to candidates having:
- Knowledge of Vedic Literature, Vedāṅgas, Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), or Sanskrit Grammar.
- Good command of Sanskrit, Hindi, and English.
- Interest or experience in academic research, documentation, and related scholarly activities.
- Good computer and digital documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities The Project Associate will be responsible for supporting the Principal Investigator in the following activities:
- Assist in carrying out research activities related to Vedic Cognitive Sciences and Speech Traditions.
- Conduct literature reviews and assist in preparing research reports, research papers, and project documentation.




- Assist in organizing and coordinating seminars, workshops, lectures, and training programmes.
- Maintain project records, databases, documents, and digital archives.
- Assist in developing educational and outreach materials.
- Support research-related data collection, documentation, compilation, and analysis.
- Assist with academic and administrative activities associated with the project.
- Perform any other research or administrative duties assigned by the Principal Investigator.

Skills Required The ideal candidate should have:
- Strong interest in Vedic studies, Sanskrit, Indian Knowledge Systems, or related research areas.
- Good research, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills in Sanskrit, Hindi, and English.
- Ability to prepare reports, academic documents, and presentations.
- Basic proficiency in computers and digital tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an academic research setting.

Important Note

Only candidates fulfilling the prescribed eligibility criteria are encouraged to attend the walk-in interview. The engagement is project-based for a period of two years and carries a remuneration of ₹20,000 per month.
