Production Engineer — Specialty Fragrance Chemicals | Howrah, West Bengal

We're hiring a Production Engineer to help us build something rare: a ground-up specialty fragrance chemicals manufacturing facility, right here in Bengal.

At Senteur Aromatics ( Group Company of Lexportex India Private Limited), we're setting up production of ambrettolide — a high-value musk fragrance compound — as a forward integration from our parent company Lexportex, a Government of India Recognised Export House in the shellac and lac derivatives space. This is a from-scratch build: current plant, new process, new team.

What you'll own





? Running the ambrettolide production process — distillation (fractional/vacuum/steam) and lactonization — end to end

? Operating and troubleshooting core plant equipment: thermic fluid heaters, steam boilers, shell & tube heat exchangers, vacuum pumps/boosters, water ejectors, air compressors

? Wet chemistry QC — acid value, melting point, pH, density — plus GC analysis

? Controlling yield through disciplined raw material input tracking

? Being hands-on through factory commissioning — not joining a plant that already exists, but helping build one

What we're looking for

✅ B.Tech/B.E. (Chemical) or M.Sc. Chemistry with strong process exposure

✅ 3–5+ years in specialty chemicals, fragrance/flavor, fine chemicals, or fatty acid derivatives

✅ Batch process experience (not just continuous plants)

✅ Someone who wants to build, not just operate
