Role Description The PPC Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Pune Division. The PPC Engineer will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities to meet customer demand and internal capacity targets.

This includes analyzing sales forecasts, tracking material requirements, and supporting procurement and inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels. The role involves close collaboration with engineering, sales, and operations to align production plans with project timelines and product launches. The PPC Engineer will monitor key performance indicators, identify process bottlenecks, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and delivery performance in a fast-evolving thermal technology environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders, forecasts, and production capacity.
- Prepare and monitor production schedules to ensure timely order execution and on-time delivery.
- Coordinate with Procurement and Stores to ensure the availability of raw materials, components, and consumables.
- Monitor work-in-progress (WIP)



and production status to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Design, and R&D; teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
- Maintain and update production schedules, material requirements, and dispatch plans.
- Track production progress and communicate schedule changes to relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor inventory levels and recommend replenishment plans to prevent stock shortages or excess inventory.
- Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), routing details, and production documentation.
- Analyze production data and generate reports on productivity, capacity utilization, and order status.
- Coordinate with the Sales and Customer Support teams regarding delivery commitments and order updates.
- Support new product introductions by coordinating production readiness and material planning.
- Ensure effective utilization of manpower, machinery, and production resources.
- Assist in implementing Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of production planning activities in ERP/MRP systems.
- Participate in production review meetings and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Production Planning & Control (PPC) within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, capacity planning,



and inventory management.
- Knowledge of Bills of Materials (BOM), Material Requirement Planning (MRP), and production workflows.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Odoo, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, charts, and reporting) and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet production deadlines.

Preferred Skills

- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and Six Sigma principles.
- Experience in inventory planning, demand forecasting, and supply chain coordination.
- Familiarity with production KPIs such as OEE, OTIF, WIP, and capacity utilization.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Experience in manufacturing environments involving fabrication, machining, assembly, or thermal management products.
- Knowledge of Power BI or advanced Excel reporting is an added advantage.
