Planning Engineer BESS PMC The Planning Engineer BESS PMC will support project controls, schedule monitoring, progress validation, and milestone tracking activities for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System projects. The role is responsible for maintaining package-level planning and progress visibility from equipment delivery through installation, commissioning, energization, and performance testing.

Key Responsibilities

Schedule Planning & Monitoring

- Review integrated schedules and look-ahead plans covering delivery, installation, PCS/MV systems, auxiliaries, controls integration, energization, and performance testing.
- Monitor project milestones and critical path activities.
- Validate schedule logic and sequencing against project execution requirements.

Progress Verification & Analysis
- Validate physical progress against approved milestones and evidence requirements.
- Track equipment delivery, installation progress, testing activities, and commissioning readiness.
- Monitor actual versus planned project performance.

Risk & Recovery Management
- Identify constraints, delays, productivity challenges, and resource limitations.
- Monitor recovery plans and schedule mitigation actions.




- Track OEM resource availability and interface dependencies.

Reporting & Governance
- Coordinate planning inputs with Construction, Design, SCM, Electrical, and Commissioning teams.
- Prepare progress updates, milestone forecasts, look-ahead schedules, and readiness reports.
- Maintain delay records and supporting documentation for project controls and commercial reviews.

Qualifications

Education

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management.
- PG Qualification in Project Management / Project Controls preferred.

Experience
- Experience in planning and project controls for BESS, electrical infrastructure, substation, renewable energy, or EPC projects.
- Experience managing construction, delivery, installation, commissioning, and testing schedules.

Certifications
- Primavera P6 Certification preferred.
- MS Project Certification preferred.
- PMP / PMI-SP Certification desirable.
- Power BI knowledge desirable.
