Role Description The Optometrist will provide in office eye care services at Sai Homoeo Home ™ in Uttar Pradesh, India, under a contract engagement. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting comprehensive eye examinations, assessing visual acuity, prescribing corrective lenses, and identifying ocular conditions that may require further medical or homeopathic management. The Optometrist will document findings accurately, maintain detailed patient records, and collaborate with homeopathic practitioners to support integrated, patient-centered care.





The role also involves educating patients on eye health, preventive measures, and appropriate use of corrective devices, while ensuring a respectful and supportive clinical experience.

Qualifications

- Recognized degree or diploma in Optometry from an accredited institution, with current eligibility to practice in India.
- Proficiency in performing refraction, prescribing eyeglasses and contact lenses, and using standard diagnostic equipment (e.g., slit lamp, retinoscope, ophthalmoscope).
- Ability to identify and appropriately refer ocular diseases and conditions, and to collaborate with other healthcare professionals for integrated care.
- Strong patient communication skills, including the ability to explain examination results, treatment options, and preventive eye care in clear, understandable language.
- Attention to detail in clinical documentation, patient record-keeping, and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards.
- Demonstrated empathy, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to non-discriminatory, gender-neutral patient care.
- Experience in a clinical or hospital setting; exposure to holistic or complementary healthcare environments is an advantage.
- Willingness to work on-site in Uttar Pradesh, India, with flexibility to adapt to clinic schedules and patient flow.
