Role Description The Occupational Health Physician with AFIH at Mediaid Healthcare LLP is a full-time, on-site role based in the Kutch district. The physician will perform periodic and pre-employment medical examinations, assess fitness for work, and manage workplace-related illnesses and injuries. Daily responsibilities include monitoring occupational health risks, advising on preventive measures, and supporting implementation of health and safety policies in coordination with management and safety teams.
The role involves conducting health education and training sessions for employees, maintaining accurate medical and occupational health records, and ensuring compliance with applicable occupational health regulations. The physician will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, participate in incident reviews,
and provide evidence-based recommendations to improve worker health and wellbeing.
Qualifications
- Solid foundation in Occupational Health and Occupational Medicine, with the ability to assess and manage work-related health risks.
- Clinical expertise in Medicine, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for a wide range of conditions relevant to workplace settings.
- Experience in Training, particularly in delivering health, safety, and wellness programs for employees and workplace stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively with Physicians and other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary environment.
- AFIH (Associate Fellowship in Industrial Health) or equivalent recognized qualification in occupational health.
- Valid medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and appropriate registration with relevant medical council or licensing authority.
- Knowledge of occupational health legislation, safety standards, and best practices applicable to industrial and corporate environments.
- Strong communication, documentation, and counseling skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with diverse workforce populations.
- Comfort working on-site in industrial or remote locations, including adaptability to local conditions in the Kutch district.
- Prior experience in industrial or corporate occupational health settings is an advantage.
