Role & responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

- Design, develop, and integrate secure and high-performance RESTful APIs.

- Work with Express.js, NestJS, or similar Node.js frameworks.

- Design database schemas and optimize queries, indexes, and application performance.

- Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and other databases.

- Implement authentication and authorization using JWT, OAuth2, and RBAC.

- Integrate third-party APIs and external services.

- Implement input validation, error handling, logging, and API security.

- Write clean, reusable, maintainable code with appropriate unit and integration tests.

- Troubleshoot application and production issues and improve API response times.

- Work with Git-based development workflows and participate in code reviews.

- Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot applications in Docker and Linux environments.

- Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, QA, and infrastructure teams.

- Contribute to technical design discussions and take ownership of assigned tasks.

Preferred candidate profile

- 2-4 years of hands-on experience in Node.js backend development.

- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.

- Good experience with Node.js and Express.js, NestJS, or similar frameworks.

- Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, and backend architecture.

- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar databases.

- Good understanding of database design,



indexing, and query optimization.

- Knowledge of authentication, authorization, JWT, OAuth2, and RBAC.

- Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab and standard software development practices.

- Basic knowledge of Linux and Docker.

- Good debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to understand existing codebases and work independently.

- Good communication and collaboration skills.

- Willingness to learn current technologies and work on infrastructure-oriented products.

- Exposure to Redis, RabbitMQ/Kafka, microservices, Kubernetes, CI/CD, cloud platforms, or monitoring tools will be an added advantage.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
