Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Network Engineer who can independently manage, configure, troubleshoot, and support end-to-end network infrastructure.

The ideal candidate should be an all-round network professional with strong expertise in LAN/WAN, routing & switching, firewalls, network security, infrastructure setup, and troubleshooting. The candidate should be capable of diagnosing and resolving complex network issues across different layers of the infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end administration of the Sophos firewall (XG/XGS) — policy configuration, VPN (site-to-site & remote access), NAT/routing rules, IPS, web/application filtering, and firmware upgrades.
- Manage LAN/WAN network infrastructure: switches, access points, structured cabling, IP addressing/VLAN design, and ISP/leased-line coordination and escalation.
- Administer Microsoft Intune (and broader M365 admin center) — device enrollment, compliance policies, conditional access, app deployment, and endpoint license management/allocation across the growing headcount.
- Provide day-to-day IT troubleshooting and desktop/user support for 190+ FTEs — hardware, OS, connectivity, printer/peripheral, and account access issues.
- Manage user identity and access: Active Directory / Azure AD account provisioning, deprovisioning, and permissions in line with HR onboarding/offboarding timelines.
- Lead IT security compliance and audit response — respond to Cognizant client audits and CAPA items, close out gaps (e.g., firewall hardening, access controls, patching, logging/monitoring), and maintain audit-ready documentation.
- Coordinate with physical security and CCTV vendors on network-dependent systems (cameras, access control) where they intersect with IT infrastructure.
- Maintain asset inventory,



license trackers (Microsoft, Intune, antivirus, Sophos), and IT SOPs/runbooks for the site.
- Manage relationships with local IT/network vendors and ISPs in Madagascar; drive procurement and issue escalation.
- Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity readiness for site IT systems.
- Report site IT health, incidents, and audit/compliance status to the Program Manager and relevant stakeholders on a regular cadence.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

- Strong, proven hands-on experience administering Sophos Firewall (XG/XGS) in a production environment — this is a hard requirement, not general firewall exposure.
- Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing/switching, VPN, DNS/DHCP.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager and Microsoft 365 admin (licensing, security groups, conditional access).
- Experience with Active Directory / Azure AD user and access management.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across network, endpoint, and application-level issues, with the ability to work independently without a large on-site IT team.
- Comfortable operating in a BPO/delivery-center environment with client-driven compliance and security audit requirements.
- Willingness to relocate to Madagascar for an onsite assignment; adaptable to working in a new country/regulatory environment.
- Good communication skills in English; working French (spoken/written) is a strong plus given the local business environment.

Good to Have

- Relevant certifications: Sophos Certified Administrator/Engineer, CCNA, Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, or equivalent.
- Prior experience setting up IT infrastructure for a recent/greenfield site or supporting a client security/compliance audit (SOC2, ISO 27001, or similar frameworks).
- Exposure to CCTV/physical security systems integration with IT networks.

Candidates should also be willing to travel to other locations (international) when required.
