We are looking for a motivated Mobile App Engineer - Intern to join our growing engineering team. At Gnani.ai, you'll help build consumer-facing (B2C) mobile apps that bring AI-powered experiences directly to everyday users. The ideal candidate is a student or recent graduate with a foundation in programming and a genuine interest in mobile app development, React Native, and cross-platform technologies.

This internship offers close mentorship from senior engineers and real exposure to production-grade mobile development, API integrations, debugging, and AI-powered applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in developing and maintaining mobile applications using React Native for Android and iOS, under the guidance of senior engineers
- Support the team in building responsive and user-friendly mobile interfaces based on product and design requirements
- Help integrate REST APIs, databases, and third-party services into mobile app features
- Participate in debugging, testing, and basic performance troubleshooting of assigned app features
- Write clean, well-documented code and actively participate in code reviews
- Collaborate with backend, AI/ML, product, and design teams on assigned tasks and features
- Learn and apply contemporary mobile development tools, frameworks, and industry best practices
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and other agile ceremonies
- Document your work, learnings, and contributions as part of internship deliverables

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- Basic understanding of Flutter and Dart




- Basic to intermediate knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript and React Native, through coursework, personal projects, or prior internships
- Understanding of programming fundamentals, OOP, and basic data structures
- Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON
- Basic understanding of Git/GitHub version control
- Basic understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive design
- Strong curiosity, problem-solving attitude, and willingness to learn new technologies quickly

Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, quick-paced environment

Good to Have

- Personal projects, published apps (Play Store / App Store), or an active GitHub portfolio
- Familiarity with Expo
- Basic knowledge of native Android or iOS development (Kotlin/Java or Swift/Objective-C)
- Familiarity with state management libraries such as Redux or Zustand
- Basic familiarity with mobile app testing tools (Jest, Detox, or similar)
- Interest in AI, voice, or conversational technologies
- Prior internship, hackathon, or open-source contribution experience
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
