Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Job Summary
Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing mechanical machines and equipment to ensure smooth, safe, and reliable production operations. The role involves preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, machine inspection, and minimizing equipment downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical machines and production equipment.
- Inspect machines regularly to identify abnormal noise, vibration, leakage, wear, or other mechanical issues.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components such as bearings, gears, shafts, chains, belts, couplings, pumps, valves, and pneumatic systems.
- Carry out machine alignment, lubrication, adjustment, and replacement of worn components.
- Read and understand mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance instructions.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks according to the preventive maintenance schedule.
- Attend breakdowns promptly and restore machines to operational condition.
- Maintain records of breakdowns, repairs, spare parts, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with production and electrical maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues.
- Ensure proper use and storage of maintenance tools and equipment.
- Follow workplace safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements where applicable.
- Maintain housekeeping and ensure the maintenance area is clean and organized.
- Support installation, modification, and commissioning of new machines and equipment.
- Identify recurring machine problems and recommend corrective actions to reduce downtime.
Required Qualifications
- ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Fitter, or a related technical trade.
- Experience in mechanical machine maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is preferred.
- Ability to use basic mechanical tools and measuring instruments.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.

Pay: ₹23,000.00 per month
