Senti is Travelxp's bet that India can design world-class hardware, not just use it. We're building a connected ecosystem — wearables for people and pets, ambient sensors for spaces, and smart tags for things — all designed in India, made in India, built to disappear into everyday life instead of shouting for attention.

The Role

Industrial Design gives us the shape. You make it real. We need a Mechanical Designer who can turn a surface model into hardware that fits together, survives a drop, seals against dust, and comes off a tool the same way every single time — across wearables, sensors, and everyday connected objects.

What You'll Do

· Convert ID surface models into fully toolable mechanical CAD (SolidWorks / Creo) with correct draft, wall thickness, and snap-fit logic

· Own tolerance stack-ups so a sensor, battery, and PCB fit together the way they do in the render

· Design enclosures for wearables and ambient sensors — including sealing, ingress protection, and structural integrity

· Build and test prototypes (3D print, CNC) and iterate fast based on what breaks

· Coordinate directly with moulders/vendors on tooling, DFM feedback, and first-article inspection

What You Bring — Non-Negotiables





· 5+ years in mechanical / product design for consumer electronics or hardware, with multiple products taken to production

· Strong SolidWorks or Creo skills — GD&T;, tolerance stacking, assembly design

· Hands-on understanding of manufacturing processes: injection moulding, sheet metal, or die casting

· Experience taking a product from prototype to production, not just CAD on a screen

· Can work independently — you'll get intent, not instructions, and you're expected to catch the mistakes juniors won't

Nice to Have

· Experience with IP-rated or waterproof enclosure design

· Exposure to battery-powered / wearable device mechanical design

· Basic FEA or simulation experience The Fit Filter

· You can take intent — not a spec sheet — and turn it into a working part

· You’re comfortable being the last line of defence before something goes to tool
