Role Description The Mathematics Teacher for the IGCSE Board at The Galaxy Education System will be responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics instruction to secondary-level learners in alignment with IGCSE curriculum standards. This full-time, on-site role based in Rajkot involves planning and conducting engaging lessons, preparing teaching materials, and assessing student performance through tests, assignments, and examinations. The teacher will provide individualized support to students, foster analytical and problem-solving skills, and create a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and conceptual understanding.





Day-to-day responsibilities also include maintaining accurate academic records, participating in departmental meetings, contributing to curriculum development, and engaging with parents and guardians to discuss student progress. The role may involve supporting co-curricular activities, attending career development programs, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.

Qualifications

- Solid subject-matter expertise in Mathematics and Mathematics Education, with a clear understanding of IGCSE-level concepts and pedagogy.
- Demonstrated ability in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development, including designing assessments and learning activities aligned with IGCSE standards.
- Status as a Qualified Teacher, with relevant teaching credentials or certifications appropriate for secondary mathematics education.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field.
- Proven classroom management skills and experience in teaching diverse learners in an inclusive, student-centered environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Comfort with using educational technology and digital tools to support instruction and assessment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and openness to innovative, future-focused teaching practices.
- Previous experience teaching IGCSE or similar international curricula is highly beneficial.
