Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and analytical Manager – Forensic Audit to lead forensic audit assignments involving financial fraud, irregularities, misconduct, asset misappropriation, fund diversion, and financial statement manipulation.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of forensic accounting, auditing, financial investigation, internal controls, risk assessment, and financial analysis . The candidate will be responsible for managing investigations, analyzing complex financial information, identifying suspicious transactions, preparing detailed reports, and providing actionable recommendations to management.
Key Responsibilities
Forensic Audit & Investigation
- Plan and execute forensic audit and financial investigation assignments.
- Investigate suspected fraud, financial irregularities, misconduct, and financial manipulation.
- Review books of accounts, financial statements, ledgers, bank statements, invoices, contracts, and supporting documents.
- Identify suspicious and unusual transactions and investigate their underlying causes.
- Analyze cases involving fund diversion, asset misappropriation, fictitious transactions, revenue manipulation, and expense fraud.
- Quantify financial losses and assess the financial impact of identified irregularities.
Financial & Transaction Analysis
- Perform detailed analysis of financial and transactional data.
- Conduct fund flow analysis and trace movement of funds across accounts and entities.
- Analyze bank transactions, related-party transactions, vendor payments, customer receipts, and inter-company transactions.
- Identify unusual transaction patterns, circular transactions, and potential financial misconduct.
- Perform asset tracing and investigate potential diversion or misuse of company assets.
- Reconstruct transactions and financial flows where required.
Fraud Risk & Internal Controls
- Evaluate business processes and financial controls to identify potential fraud risks.
- Identify weaknesses in internal financial controls and accounting processes.
- Conduct fraud risk assessments across finance, procurement, sales, inventory, payroll,
and other functions.
- Develop appropriate audit procedures based on identified risks.
- Recommend corrective and preventive controls to reduce the risk of future fraud.
Evidence & Documentation
- Collect, review, analyze, and document relevant financial evidence.
- Prepare detailed working papers supporting investigation findings.
- Maintain proper documentation of audit procedures, observations, and conclusions.
- Ensure investigation findings are supported by appropriate evidence.
- Maintain strict confidentiality while handling sensitive financial information.
Reporting & Presentation
- Prepare detailed forensic audit and investigation reports.
- Clearly document findings, supporting evidence, financial impact, root causes, and recommendations.
- Prepare management presentations and investigation summaries.
- Present audit findings to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Provide practical recommendations for improving financial controls and preventing recurrence.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with management, finance teams, legal advisors, auditors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Discuss investigation findings and clarify financial and accounting matters.
- Support clients during fraud investigations, regulatory reviews, and dispute-related matters.
- Maintain professional relationships with senior stakeholders.
Team Management
- Lead and supervise forensic audit team members.
- Allocate work and monitor assignment progress.
- Review working papers, financial analysis, and reports prepared by team members.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
- Ensure assignments are completed within agreed timelines and quality standards.
Required Skills

Qualifications & Experience
- Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory.
- Forensic Certification from a reputed/recognized institute – Mandatory.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in Forensic Audit, Forensic Accounting, Fraud Investigation, Financial Investigation, Internal Audit, or related fields.
- Experience in handling complex financial investigations will be preferred.
- Experience in leading forensic audit assignments and managing team members will be an advantage.
