Role Purpose(s)

The Lead Network Engineer is responsible for providing strategic technical leadership in the design, architecture, governance, implementation, and optimization of enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments

Key Accountabilities

- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise network solutions across hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Drive network modernization, technology refresh, and infrastructure transformation initiatives aligned with business objectives.
- Establish and govern network standards, policies, security controls, and operational best practices.
- Ensure network availability, performance, scalability, and security across enterprise environments.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight for complex projects, major incidents, and critical infrastructure changes.
- Act as the senior technical authority for network engineering, mentoring and developing engineering teams.
- Collaborate with cloud, security, systems, and business stakeholders to deliver integrated technology solutions.
- Support organizational compliance, audit, and regulatory requirements through appropriate network governance and controls.

Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Flexible to accommodate Canada/US business hours (UTC-3 / UTC-4), operating between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM local time (4:30 PM to 1:30 AM IST) during specific days each week.
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments, ensuring security, scalability, and high availability.
- Manage and oversee network-related projects, including planning, execution, resource coordination, risk management, and technical governance.
- Establish, maintain, and enforce network standards, policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.




- Provide expert-level technical leadership for complex troubleshooting, major incident management, root cause analysis, and infrastructure problem resolution.
- Drive network capacity planning, performance monitoring, technology refresh, and continuous improvement initiatives to support business growth and operational excellence.
- Lead network security initiatives, including security assessments, vulnerability remediation, penetration test findings resolution, and implementation of security controls.
- Review and approve network architecture designs, technical documentation, audit reports, and infrastructure recommendations while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and support 24x7 operations, including escalations, standby duties, and project deployments when required.

Education Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Qualified networking certifications are highly desirable.

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)(Required)

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)(Preferred)

AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (Preferred)

AWS Advanced Networking Specialty Certification (Preferred)





Working Experience Requirements

- Minimum 6–8 years of progressive experience in network engineering, operations, and infrastructure management.
- Proven experience leading enterprise-scale network architecture, implementation, and transformation projects.
- Extensive experience managing hybrid network environments comprising on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience in technical leadership, stakeholder engagement, and mentoring engineering teams.

- Azure networking services (VNet Peering, Application Gateway, Network Security controls, etc.).
- High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) design.
- Network troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Network performance monitoring and optimization.
- Security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance management.

Preferable skills

- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
- AWS Advanced Networking Specialty Certification.
- NAC / Aruba ClearPass / FortiNAC administration.
- Aruba Mobility Controller administration.
- IEEE 802.1X authentication deployment and management.
- F5 Load Balancer administration.
- Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- CloudFront and Cloudflare CDN implementation.
- SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle management.
- Multi-cloud networking architecture.
- Fortinet, PaloAlto, Cisco, Checkpoint, Juniper Firewalls, Cisco Meraki. Cisco, HP, Dell Switches.
