QA/QC Engineer Piping & Welding

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced QA/QC Engineer Piping & Welding to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities for project construction works. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in piping, welding inspection, NDT, QA/QC documentation, and site coordination within the Oil & Gas or Power sector.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct inspection and quality control activities for piping and welding works at project sites.
- Inspect piping materials including pipes, fittings, flanges, and related components in Carbon Steel (CS), Stainless Steel (SS), and Alloy Steel.
- Ensure all construction and welding activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, procedures, ASME/ASTM codes, and project requirements.
- Prepare, review, and implement Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and coordinate Welder Qualification Tests (WQT).
- Monitor welders and welding activities on a daily basis and ensure compliance with approved welding procedures.
- Coordinate and monitor visual weld inspections with subcontractors and construction teams.
- Coordinate NDT activities, particularly Radiography Testing (RT) and Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT).
- Perform and/or coordinate radiographic film interpretation and evaluate weld quality as per applicable codes and project specifications.
- Maintain daily inspection records, welding documentation, NDT reports, QA/QC records, and quality dossiers.




- Monitor daily welding progress and coordinate with construction and subcontractor teams to ensure timely completion.
- Identify quality issues, support troubleshooting, and ensure timely corrective actions and closure of non-conformities.
- Coordinate with project, construction, engineering, and subcontractor teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Ensure all inspection and testing activities are properly documented and traceable.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Diploma / Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
- 7–12 years of relevant QA/QC experience in Oil & Gas, Power, EPC, or project construction environments.
- Strong practical experience in piping and welding inspection.
- Hands-on knowledge of CS, SS, and Alloy Steel piping systems.
- Good knowledge of applicable ASME and ASTM codes, standards, and specifications.
