Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth security research on iOS and macOS systems, including the XNU kernel and sandbox mechanisms.
- Reverse engineer Apple binaries and firmware components such as Mach-O, dyld, and
KEXTs.
- Develop jailbreak techniques, kernel exploits, and system-level bypasses.
- Contribute to the creation of internal tools for fuzzing, debugging, and exploit validation on iOS/macOS targets.
- Monitor changes to Apple’s security architecture and provide impact assessments.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Security, or Embedded Systems.
- Proficient in Objective-C, Swift, and ARM64 assembly.
- Experience with reverse engineering tools (Frida, Ghidra, Hopper, LLDB).
- Strong understanding of Apple’s iOS/macOS security model and architecture.
- Familiarity with iOS kernel internals, sandboxing, and memory management.
Desired Eligibility
- Experience in jailbreak development or iOS kernel extension analysis.
- Research contributions to Apple security bug bounty or open-source exploit repos.
- Knowledge of SEP, boot ROM, or Apple Secure Enclave internals is a plus.
