About the Role

Echelon is seeking a creative and experienced Interior Designer – Interior Fit-Out to develop and deliver functional, aesthetically appealing, and technically practical interior design solutions for commercial and residential projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in concept development, space planning, working drawings, material selection, 3D visualization, BOQ coordination, and site execution, with the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, project managers, consultants, contractors, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop interior design concepts, layouts, mood boards, material palettes, and design presentations.
- Prepare detailed space planning, furniture layouts, reflected ceiling plans, flooring layouts, elevations, and construction drawings.
- Develop and coordinate detailed interior design drawings using AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
- Prepare 3D models, renders, and visual presentations for client approvals.
- Select and specify suitable materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, lighting, and accessories.
- Coordinate design requirements with Project Managers, Site Engineers, MEP teams, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to ensure proper design coordination.
- Prepare and review material schedules, finish schedules, and design specifications.
- Coordinate with the estimation and procurement teams for BOQ, material quantities, specifications,



and cost-effective design solutions.
- Conduct site visits and ensure design intent is properly implemented during execution.
- Monitor site progress and resolve design-related issues and technical queries.
- Review shop drawings, samples, mock-ups, and material submissions.
- Attend client and consultant meetings and incorporate approved design revisions.
- Assist in maintaining project timelines and ensuring design deliverables are issued on schedule.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for material samples, finishes, furniture, and custom-made items.
- Conduct snagging inspections and support the project team during final handover.
- Maintain proper documentation of drawings, revisions, approvals, and project records.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in interior design, fit-out, or architectural projects.
- Strong knowledge of interior finishing materials, furniture, joinery, ceilings, flooring, wall finishes, lighting, and decorative elements.
- Good understanding of interior construction methods and site execution.
- Ability to interpret and coordinate Architectural, Structural,



and MEP drawings.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ, material specifications, and quantity requirements.
- Good communication, presentation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Required Software Skills

- AutoCAD – Mandatory
- SketchUp – Preferred
- 3D Max / V-Ray / Enscape / Lumion – Added Advantage
- Adobe Photoshop – Preferred
- Microsoft Office – Required
- Knowledge of Revit will be an added advantage.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in Commercial, Retail, Office, Healthcare, Hospitality, Residential, or F&B; Interior Fit-Out projects.
- Experience in preparing detailed construction and shop drawings.
- Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Knowledge of furniture and joinery detailing is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of local interior fit-out standards and construction practices is preferred.
