Instructor (OT/ICS Cybersecurity)
We are seeking an experienced and passionate OT/ICS Cybersecurity Instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering comprehensive training programs focused on Operational Technology (OT), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), SCADA security, and critical infrastructure protection to diverse audiences, including industry professionals, students, engineers, and organizational stakeholders.
The instructor will also stay updated with emerging threats, evolving industrial technologies, relevant standards, and best practices to ensure that training content remains current, practical, and aligned with industry requirements.
Responsibilities:
Training Program Development:
Design, develop, and continuously update training programs, instructional materials, laboratory exercises, and supporting documentation covering OT/ICS cybersecurity topics.
Create engaging and interactive learning experiences, including hands-on labs, simulations, tabletop exercises, case studies, and e-learning content focused on industrial environments.
Develop curriculum aligned with recognized standards and frameworks such as IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, the Purdue Model, and critical infrastructure security best practices.
Incorporate practical demonstrations involving industrial communication protocols, network architectures, threat scenarios, and security controls relevant to OT environments.
Stay up-to-date with emerging cyber threats, OT technologies, industrial automation trends, and evolving regulatory requirements.
Serve as a subject matter expert on OT/ICS cybersecurity topics within the organization and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Participate in continuous professional development activities,
research initiatives, and relevant industry certifications.
Training Delivery:
Conduct training sessions for diverse audiences through in-person, virtual, and hybrid delivery modes.
Customize instructional content based on participant backgrounds, experience levels, and sector-specific requirements, including manufacturing, energy, utilities, transportation, and other critical infrastructure domains.
Facilitate practical exercises, hands-on laboratories, workshops, and capstone activities to enhance participant understanding and application of concepts.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to learners throughout the training lifecycle.
Assessment and Evaluation:
Develop and administer assessments, assignments, practical evaluations, and capstone reviews to measure participant learning outcomes and program effectiveness.
Collect, analyze, and incorporate participant feedback to continuously improve training content, laboratory exercises, and delivery methodologies.
Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support skill development and successful completion of training objectives.
Eligibility:
Master’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related field. A PhD is a plus.
Relevant industry certifications in cybersecurity, industrial cybersecurity, governance,
risk, or related domains will be desirable.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, OT/ICS environments, or critical infrastructure security, with at least 2 years of experience in training, instruction, curriculum development, or educational program delivery.
Experience in designing and delivering hands-on cybersecurity laboratories, workshops, or simulation-based exercises will be preferred.
Exposure to industrial automation technologies, ICS/SCADA environments, OT security frameworks, or industrial risk management practices will be considered an added advantage.
