Role Description The Home Room Teacher at ZAYOK NEXUS is a part-time, remote role responsible for guiding and supporting learners in an online classroom environment. Day-to-day tasks include leading virtual homeroom sessions, monitoring learner progress, and facilitating a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere.

Teacher will communicate regularly with learners and families, provide feedback on academic and personal development, and coordinate with subject teachers to ensure consistent support.

Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate records, using digital tools to organize schedules and learning resources,



and promoting engagement through interactive activities. The role requires a proactive, empathetic approach to mentoring and a commitment to the platform’s learner-first values.

Qualifications

- Strong classroom management and learner support skills, including the ability to foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive online learning environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with learners, families, and colleagues in a clear, professional, and supportive manner.
- Comfort and proficiency with online teaching platforms, digital collaboration tools, and basic troubleshooting in a remote learning setting.
- Ability to plan, organize, and track learner progress, including maintaining records, schedules, and follow-up actions.
- Experience in teaching, tutoring, or mentoring children or youth; prior online or blended learning experience is highly beneficial.
- Relevant academic background, such as a degree or coursework in Education, Child Development, or a related field; recognized teaching qualifications are an advantage.
