We're Hiring: Head of Recruitment

Lead Xbattery's recruitment function, define our Employee Value Proposition (EVP), and hire the talent that fuels our growth.

We design and manufacture Battery Management Systems (BMS) electronics for electric vehicles and energy storage. We're in scale-up mode across engineering, sales, and operations - and we need a proven recruitment leader to build our talent engine.

Location: Hyderabad (Work From Office)

Role Summary

You'll lead Xbattery's recruitment function end-to-end, reporting directly to the CEO. This means owning our hiring practices, recruitment strategy, and talent brand-not just managing a req pipeline. You'll lead our HR Ops team, evolve our interview and assessment approach, and ensure we're hiring the right people at the right pace. Critically, you'll translate Xbattery's potential and vision into a compelling EVP that attracts top talent.

Key Responsibilities

- Own Xbattery's hiring policies and practices-screening, interviewing, candidate assessment, and offer processes
- Develop and execute our recruitment strategy across engineering, sales, and operations functions
- Lead, mentor, and grow our HR Ops team-be the player-coach who sets the standard
- Partner with the CEO and leadership to define hiring plans, headcount budgets, and talent priorities
- Craft Xbattery's Employee Value Proposition (EVP)



and candidate experience-articulate why top talent should join and stay
- Build Xbattery's talent brand across channels-how we show up in the talent market matters
- Identify the right sourcing mix for each role-job boards, LinkedIn, communities, campus, agencies
- Implement structured interview practices and train hiring managers on effective interviewing
- Define KPIs for the recruitment function-pipeline speed, conversion rates, candidate experience, offer-accept ratios
- Use data to debug our hiring-identify bottlenecks, process gaps, and areas for optimization
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
- Report on recruitment metrics, hiring progress, and talent strategy to the CEO

Requirements

- 4-6 years of recruitment experience in fast-paced environments
- Proven track record hiring for tech and business roles, especially engineering, sales, and operations positions
- Experience leading and mentoring recruitment teams
- Demonstrated ability to craft compelling EVP and talent brand narratives
- Proficiency with contemporary ATS, CRM, and HR tech stack
- Strong analytical skills-ability to derive insights from recruiting metrics
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills-ability to partner with CEO, leadership, hiring managers, and cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Fluent in English, Hindi, and Telugu
