Role Description

TradeTrust is building a trusted B2B digital commerce ecosystem that connects Surat’s textile manufacturers, weavers, and brands with buyers across India and global markets. This internship places you inside Surat’s textile ecosystem, where you will work directly with manufacturers to create their business profiles, digitise product collections, and turn physical fabrics and garments into premium, searchable online SKUs. It is an ideal opportunity for fashion, textile, apparel, design, and multimedia students who want hands-on experience at the intersection of textiles, retail technology, and e-commerce.

Responsibilities

- Visit and partner with textile manufacturers around the Ring Road and Varachha hubs to collect business details and digitise their product collections.
- Create manufacturer business profiles on TradeTrust using accurate contact, business, and catalogue information collected with the manufacturer’s consent.
- Translate physical fabric and garment characteristics—including weave, yarn count, fabric composition, embroidery, zari work, print, finish, and HSN code—into structured product listings.
- Build clean, searchable SKU matrices covering relevant colour, size, fabric, design, pack, minimum-order, and pricing variations.




- Coordinate product photography and perform basic image preparation such as cropping, scaling, colour correction, and background removal.
- Match digital images and swatches as closely as practical to the physical product while flagging unavoidable colour or texture differences.
- Use TradeTrust dashboards and bulk spreadsheet templates to upload catalogue data efficiently.
- Review product descriptions, specifications, compositions, prices, and commercial rules for completeness and accuracy before publication.
- Maintain clear records of missing information and follow up with manufacturers until each assigned catalogue is launch-ready.

Requirements

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Textile Technology, Apparel Production, Graphic Design, Digital Media, E-Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Working knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, textile blends, prints, embroidery, and Surat’s ethnic-wear or textile ecosystem.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets and confidence working with structured product data.
- Entry-level familiarity with image-editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva.
- Based in Surat with practical access to the Ring Road, Varachha,



or nearby textile market and manufacturing areas.
- Strong spoken communication, professional conduct, attention to detail, and comfort interacting with manufacturers and traders.
- Ability to work independently during field visits and handle manufacturer information responsibly.

Positive to have
- Experience with product or textile photography and basic colour correction.
- Familiarity with seller dashboards, bulk catalogue uploads, or marketplace operations.
- Knowledge of HSN codes, fabric specifications, SKU structures, or textile pricing.
- A portfolio or academic project involving fashion catalogues, digital media, or product styling.
- Comfortable communicating professionally in Gujarati, Hindi, and English.
