This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Group Procurement and Compliance Manager based in India. This is a strategic opportunity for an experienced procurement and compliance professional to oversee supplier management, commercial governance, and compliance activities within a global technology environment.

You will lead procurement initiatives from requirements gathering and supplier selection through contracting and ongoing performance management. The role also owns key information security and compliance frameworks, including ISO standards and audit programs. You will work closely with Finance, Legal, Information Security, IT, Operations, Sales, and Product teams to embed solid governance across the business.

Success will require commercial judgment, analytical thinking, strong stakeholder influence, and a proactive approach to risk management. This is a high-impact role with significant visibility and the opportunity to drive cost optimization, operational resilience, and continuous improvement.

Accountabilities

- Lead procurement activities for goods and services, ensuring commercial value, quality, compliance, and alignment with procurement policies.
- Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including business requirements, supplier evaluation, selection, contracting, renewals, and ongoing supplier governance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers and lead commercial negotiations for new agreements, renewals, and contract amendments.
- Monitor supplier performance, risks, contractual obligations, and expiry dates, implementing mitigation and contingency plans where required.
- Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, process improvement, cost optimization, and improved procurement efficiency while maintaining service quality.
- Maintain accurate supplier information and governance records, and produce reporting on spend, savings, contract status, supplier performance, and procurement KPIs.
- Own and continuously improve the business unit's compliance framework, including the implementation and maintenance of ISO 27001, ISO 27017, and ISO 27018 management systems.
- Coordinate annual surveillance and recertification audits, as well as external and internal audit activities, remediation plans, and certification requirements.
- Manage SOC 1 controls and associated audit requirements, tracking compliance actions and ensuring timely completion of remediation activities.




- Develop and maintain policies, standards, procedures, dashboards, risk reports, and the annual compliance work plan.
- Promote a strong culture of compliance through awareness initiatives, communications, and training.
- Support customer due diligence activities, including compliance and information security questionnaires for RFPs, tenders, and customer audits.
- Coordinate carbon footprint reporting and sustainability data in support of ESG objectives, while monitoring emerging regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Partner with Finance, Legal, Information Security, IT, Operations, Sales, and Product teams to ensure procurement and governance requirements are effectively embedded into business processes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for procurement, supplier governance, and compliance matters, providing expert guidance to senior stakeholders.

Requirements

- Proven experience managing procurement and supplier governance within a global organization.
- Strong commercial negotiation, contract management, purchasing, and supplier relationship management experience.
- Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining ISO 27001 and related information security standards.
- Experience supporting external audits, certification programs, audit remediation, and ongoing compliance activities.
- Strong knowledge of supplier risk management, third-party governance, procurement controls, and procurement best practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions and seniority levels.
- Strong analytical, reporting, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- High attention to detail, sound business judgment, and a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
- Experience with ISO 27017 and ISO 27018 is desirable.
- Familiarity with SOC 1 or SOC 2 audit programs is an advantage.
- Knowledge of ESG, sustainability, and carbon reporting requirements is desirable.
- Experience within software, telecommunications,



or technology organizations is beneficial.
- A qualified procurement qualification such as CIPS, or an equivalent credential, is an advantage.
- Information Security or Compliance qualifications, such as ISO Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor certification, are desirable.
