We're Looking for a Founding Scientist for a Sustainability Venture

We are building next-generation biotech solutions aimed at making the food system more sustainable and resilient. We believe there's a capital-efficient path to solving some of the world's toughest sustainability challenges.

We're bringing on a cofounding scientist to lead the science: someone who will own the technical roadmap and shape the company's direction as a full partner. The person will hold a PhD (or relevant hands-on research experience) in plant molecular biology, biotechnology, or a closely related field.

We're looking for hands-on expertise in one or more of:

● Plant molecular biology and plant transformation

● Recombinant protein expression systems

● Agroinfiltration and transient expression techniques

● Protein purification and downstream processing

More than the specific background, what matters most to us is fit. We're looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about this domain, who is purpose-driven, and who thinks long-term rather than chasing the next milestone. Technical skill matters, but if there isn't a real fit in values and outlook, it won't work — and if there is, that matters more to us than a perfect resume.

On the business side, the company is led by a founder with a track record building and scaling a brand from the ground up — commercial strategy, fundraising, and operations are covered. What we're building now is the scientific leadership to match: someone ready to co-own the platform, the roadmap, and the outcome.





We're not building for one market or one moment — the ambition here is global. We're looking for someone who thinks big and who wants to build something that matters well beyond Bengaluru or India.

We already have some of the best scientific minds in the country on board, guiding the technical direction and helping shape the roadmap. This is a reliable, well-supported effort — and we want to onboard a scientist who's excited to build alongside that kind of network and the potential global impact. We're looking for someone who wants to make a real impact on the world — and who is deeply committed to that vision.

This role is based in Bengaluru, and someone who is either already in Bengaluru (preferred, not a hard requirement) will be a great fit. Building anything meaningful requires full-time effort and commitment – ideally the person should be committed full time. However, if you're genuinely keen but if the full-time requirement or location isn't feasible right away, we're still happy to talk.

It takes a real appetite for risk, and we're looking for someone who has that and believes in our mission of sustainability with a potential global impact. This is structured as an equity role. That said, we understand passion doesn't always pay the bills — if you're genuinely excited about this and still need a salary alongside equity, we're open to that conversation.
