Bajo Foods is one of the most exciting consumer food companies in India today. We're the parent of Lo Foods, Protein Chef, DiabeSmart and Lo! Low Carb & Keto Foods — a portfolio built to make healthier, functional eating a part of everyday Indian meals.

We've singlehandedly created categories like High-Protein Breads for the Indian breakfast table, and we're now building out several more such defining categories across Snacks, Cookies, and Flours — each representing genuine white space in Indian food.

We run two distinct businesses under one roof — a packaged foods business sold primarily through Quick Commerce (Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart), eCommerce, and General Trade, and a cloud kitchen business — giving this role genuine exposure across two very different operating and financial models within the same company.

We're looking for a Finance Controller to build and own financial control, compliance, and manufacturing finance as we scale across both businesses. This role will report to the Founder and be based out of our Bangalore office, with a team reporting in.

What You Will Own

Financial Controls & Inventory Controls

Put in place and continuously strengthen financial controls, SOPs, and process documentation across the business, with a particular focus on inventory controls — ensuring stock, wastage, and valuation are tightly tracked across our own factory, our Contract Manufacturers, and the cloud kitchen business.

Treasury, Banking & Insurance

Own banking relationships and treasury operations, including working capital facilities and lender coordination. Ensure the business has appropriate insurance cover across factory, inventory, and operations.

Books Closing & Statutory Audit

Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books, and lead the statutory audit end-to-end — ensuring the numbers are accurate, timely, and audit-ready at all times.

Cash Flow, AP & AR

Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable,



and take ownership of improving the company's cash flow position — tightening collection cycles, vendor terms, and working capital discipline.

General Ledger

Oversee all General Ledger work, ensuring the books are clean, reconciled, and a reliable single source of truth for the business.

Statutory Compliance & Audits

Own all statutory compliances and audits — direct and indirect tax, regulatory filings, transfer pricing, and inter-company accounting across our brands and entities — working with external consultants and auditors as required.

Manufacturing Finance

Own manufacturing finance across our own production factory and our Contract Manufacturer network. Own fixed asset accounting and CapEx tracking across factory and infrastructure investments.

ERP Finance Implementation

Lead the implementation and rollout of ERP finance modules, building the systems backbone the finance function needs as the company scales.

Team Building & Leadership

Build and lead a team of finance and accounting professionals — setting up processes, coaching execution, and building a high-ownership, detail-oriented culture within the finance function. Be part of the core leadership team shaping the financial and operational direction of the overall company, beyond just the finance function.

Ideal Background

- 4–8 years of finance/controllership experience, with the most recent 2 years being most relevant.
- Experience in a Food company is preferred; FMCG company background is a must.
- Must have worked in an organization with its own production factory, alongside experience managing Contract Manufacturers.
- Must have experience in a company selling through Quick Commerce.
- A track record of building and leading finance/accounting teams — hiring, coaching, and scaling.
- Strong command of costing, MIS, compliance, and financial controls, with the rigour to operate in a fast-scaling, multi-brand consumer business.
- Based out of, or willing to relocate to, Bangalore.
