English Teacher (Classes 6–10)

Position: English Teacher – Classes 6 to 10

Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and competent English Teacher to teach students from Classes 6 to 10. The teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging English lessons, developing students’ language skills, assessing learning outcomes, and supporting the overall academic and personal development of students.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver effective English lessons in accordance with the school curriculum.
- Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and other teaching-learning materials.
- Use interactive and student-centred teaching methods to improve engagement and understanding.
- Conduct regular assessments, examinations, and remedial sessions.
- Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate academic records.
- Provide constructive feedback and individual support to students who require additional assistance.
- Encourage students to develop strong communication, presentation, creative writing, and critical-thinking skills.
- Maintain a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom setting.
- Integrate technology and suitable digital resources into teaching where appropriate.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and communicate students’ progress professionally.
- Collaborate with colleagues in academic planning,



examinations, events, and school activities.
- Contribute to English-related competitions, literary activities, assemblies, clubs, and other co-curricular programmes.
- Follow school policies, academic standards, and professional expectations.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English or a related subject.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred/required as per school norms.
- Strong command of spoken and written English.
- Knowledge of the school curriculum and age-appropriate teaching methodologies.

Experience
- Preferred: 2–5 years of teaching experience in Classes 6–10.
- Freshers with strong subject knowledge and effective communication skills may also be considered.
