Job title : Head - Engineering

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Data architecture : Own the data architecture end to end - design a secure, scalable platform for underwriting, policy admin, and claims data across every embedded-insurance partner integration.
- Native AI implementation : Design and ship AI-native systems that sit inside the core product, not bolted on - risk scoring, fraud/anomaly detection on claims, and automated claims triage, all running in production against live data.
- Engineering leadership : Build and lead the engineering team - hire, mentor, and set technical standards as the team scales from a founding core to a full platform organisation.
- Platform & integration : Own the partner-facing API/SDK layer that lets a current partner integrate and go live in 1 - 2 weeks, per Novustrana's platform promise.
- Compliance & security : Bake data privacy, security,



and regulatory compliance (IRDAI and applicable data-protection law) into the architecture from day one, not as an afterthought.
- Cross-functional partnership : Work closely with product, underwriting/actuarial, and partnerships to translate risk and distribution requirements into shippable systems.
- Technical Roadmap : Develop and maintain a technical roadmap that aligns with the company's overall strategy and vision, ensuring the engineering team is focused on delivering high-impact projects.
- Stakeholder Management : Communicate technical plans, progress, and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executives, partners, and customers, ensuring that engineering priorities and deliverables are well-understood and aligned with business objectives.
