Role Description The Database Team Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida. This role oversees the database team’s daily operations, including planning, assigning, and reviewing work related to database administration, design, and optimization.

The Database Team

Lead is responsible for ensuring database reliability, performance, security, and availability for critical business systems. Typical activities include monitoring database health, troubleshooting issues, implementing data models, coordinating backups and recovery, and supporting development teams with database-related requirements. The role also involves mentoring team members, defining best practices and standards, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and contributing to architectural decisions for data management.

Job Summary:

The role involves architecting, designing, developing, and managing scalable database solutions that support business-critical applications and the organization's Data Platform.



The candidate will be responsible for optimizing and tuning existing database environments, developing new solutions, ensuring high availability, and enabling data-driven applications. Experience in modern Data Platform and Data Engineering technologies will be an added advantage.

Must Have Skills :

. Experience in designing and architecting scalable database solutions.

. Hands-on experience with multiple RDBMS and NoSQL databases handling TB-scale data, preferably PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and Graph DB.

. Strong expertise in PostgreSQL, PL/pgSQL, SQL, and query optimization techniques.

. Expert knowledge of database installation, configuration, replication, backup & recovery, upgrades, security, clustering, and HA/DR (HADR) setup.

. Experience in database deployment, monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and production support.

. Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL will be preferred.

Positive understanding of data modelling, indexing, partitioning, and database performance optimization.

. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Good-To-Have Skills:

. Experience with cloud platforms and managed database services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

. Experience in database migration across platforms and cloud environments.

Knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and scripting languages such as Shell, Bash, or Python.

. Exposure to automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevOps practices will be an advantage.

. Experience with Data Engineering technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow, ETL/ELT pipelines, Data Warehousing, or Big Data technologies will be an added advantage.

Eligibility

. 5–10 years of relevant DBA experience

. B.Tech/B.E . – 60% & above

. 10th or 12th – 80% & above
