A Data Entry Operator transfers data from various sources into computer systems for storage, processing, and management. They prepare source documents, type information into databases, and verify accuracy to ensure company information remains up to date and secure.

Key Responsibilities

- Data Input: Insert text-based and numerical data from source documents directly into designated databases, spreadsheets, or company software.

- Verification: Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of data prior to entry; research and resolve discrepancies in incomplete documents.

- Data Cleansing: Review entered data for errors or duplicates, correcting incompatibilities to maintain information integrity.

- Record Management: Organize and maintain physical and digital filing systems, creating backups to prevent data loss.

- Clerical Support: Scan documents, print files, manage correspondence, and assist with general office administration as needed.

- Confidentiality:



Comply with data protection policies and maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive company and customer information.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Typing Speed & Accuracy: Consistently high words-per-minute (WPM) typing speed with an emphasis on error-free input.

- Software Proficiency: Robust working knowledge of data management software and the MS Office Suite (specifically Excel and Word) or Google Suite.

- Attention to Detail: Ability to concentrate for extended periods to spot minor spelling, numerical, or formatting errors.

- Organization & Time Management: Strong capability to manage high volumes of tasks, prioritize workloads, and meet strict organizational deadlines.

- Education: Typically requires a High School diploma, GED, or relevant computer training/certification.
