Summary

Accenture is seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer – AspenTech Engineering & Manufacturing Systems to provide Application Managed Services (AMS) and production support for AspenTech applications including AspenONE Engineering Suite, Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, Aspen Manufacturing & Supply Chain Solutions, Aspen Fidelis, Aspen InfoPlus.21 (IP.21), and IP Gateway. The role involves supporting critical engineering, manufacturing, reliability, operational planning, and industrial data management applications used across process industries.

The candidate will be responsible for application support, incident resolution, performance monitoring, user assistance, system administration, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring high availability and reliable business operations. The role requires solid collaboration with operations, engineering, reliability, planning, IT, and business stakeholders in an industrial environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Expected to perform independently and become a Subject Matter Expert (SME).

Participate actively in team discussions and contribute to technical solutions.

Provide L2/L3 application support for AspenTech engineering and manufacturing applications.

Troubleshoot application, integration, performance, and data-related issues across the AspenTech landscape.

Support AspenONE Engineering tools including Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, Icarus, and HTFS.

Support Aspen Manufacturing & Supply Chain applications and related business processes.

Maintain and support Aspen Fidelis reliability and asset criticality analysis solutions.

Administer and troubleshoot Aspen InfoPlus.21 (IP.21) Historian and associated interfaces.

Support IP Gateway and data exchange between operational and enterprise systems.

Investigate data quality, synchronization, and reporting issues.

Perform configuration changes, minor enhancements, and application maintenance activities.

Analyze incidents, identify root causes, and implement permanent fixes.

Coordinate with vendors,



business users, infrastructure teams, and engineering stakeholders for issue resolution.

Develop and maintain application support documentation, knowledge articles, and operating procedures.

Ensure adherence to SLA, KPI, Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management processes.

Participate in system upgrades, patching, testing, and deployment activities.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and operational efficiency.

Understanding of process engineering, manufacturing operations, reliability, and production planning processes.

Experience with industrial historians and operational data management systems.

Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities.

Knowledge of application administration, configuration, and user support.

Experience with Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request Management processes.

Familiarity with SQL queries and database troubleshooting.

Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience working within ITIL-based support environments.

Good to Have Skills

Exposure to SCADA, DCS, PLC, MES, or industrial automation systems.

Understanding of Oil & Gas, LNG, Energy, Chemicals, Refining, or Manufacturing industries.

Experience with AVEVA PI System, Historian, or other industrial data platforms.

Integration experience with SAP, ERP, reporting, or enterprise applications.

Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as OPC, Modbus, or MQTT.

Exposure to cloud-hosted industrial applications and digital transformation initiatives.

Experience supporting reliability and asset performance management solutions.





Additional Information

The candidate should have 8-10 years of relevant experience supporting AspenTech applications in AMS, production support, or application maintenance environments.

Experience in Oil & Gas, LNG, Chemicals, Energy, Mining, or Process Manufacturing industries is highly preferred.

Strong understanding of industrial operational workflows, data management, and engineering applications is desirable.

Experience supporting mission-critical business applications with global users is preferred.

This position is based at our Pune office.

A minimum of 15 years of full-time education is required.
