Contract and Commercial Lead BESS PMC The Contract and Commercial Lead BESS PMC will support contractual and commercial governance activities for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. The role is responsible for monitoring contract compliance, warranty obligations, performance guarantees, variations, claims support, and closeout requirements across OEM and EPC packages.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Administration & Compliance

- Maintain contractual obligations, notices, correspondence registers, and compliance records.
- Monitor warranty obligations, performance requirements, and contractual deliverables.
- Track commercial exposure relating to contract execution and project changes.

Commercial & Claims Support
- Maintain variation, change-order, and claims-support registers.
- Coordinate commercial records relating to delivery delays, preservation issues, OEM interfaces, and performance-testing outcomes.
- Support assessment of commercial risks and potential entitlement matters.

Risk & Governance
- Track contractual risks associated with performance guarantees, availability requirements, degradation/SOH obligations, spare parts, and HOTO requirements.




- Support PMO commercial governance reviews and escalation requirements.
- Maintain audit-ready contractual and commercial documentation.

Reporting & Closeout
- Coordinate payment-support records with QS and package teams.
- Maintain closeout documentation and unresolved liability registers.
- Prepare contractual status reports and governance summaries.

Qualifications

Education

- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
- PG Diploma/MBA in Contracts, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or Law preferred.

Experience
- 7-10 years of experience in contract administration and commercial management for BESS, power, renewable energy, EPC, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience handling warranty compliance, contract variations, commercial claims, and project closeout activities.

Certifications
- MRICS/RICS preferred.
- NICMAR preferred.
- WorldCC (IACCM) Certification preferred.
- PMP or Contract Management Certification desirable.
