Today, CAP works across a network of more than 200 schools.
The Role
We are looking for a Research & Content Intern to help develop high-quality resources for students, counsellors and schools. You will spend time understanding careers, courses, universities, industries and emerging areas of study, and then turn that research into clear and useful content.
We are looking for someone who enjoys finding things out, checking whether they are true, understanding them properly and explaining them well.
What You’ll Do
- Research careers, courses, universities and developments in higher education.
- Contribute to student-facing guides, articles, explainers and digital resources.
- Research emerging fields and less familiar career pathways.
- Support the development of counsellor resources and other CAP publications.
- Find and evaluate reliable primary and secondary sources.
- Fact-check information before publication.
- Help organise research databases, source libraries and editorial material.
- Interview professionals, academics or other experts when required.
- Work with the team on new content formats, including interactive and visual resources.
What We’re Looking For
- Current undergraduate, postgraduate or recent graduate.
- Very strong English writing skills.
- Robust internet research ability.
- Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn about unfamiliar subjects.
- Ability to distinguish a good source from a weak one.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to explain complex ideas clearly without oversimplifying them.
- Comfortable receiving detailed editorial feedback and revising work.
There is no preferred degree subject. We are more interested in how you research and write.
This Internship Could Suit You If
- You enjoy reading beyond what is required.
- You notice when an article makes a claim but doesn’t explain where the information came from.
- Most importantly, you care about accuracy.
- Are curious about learning digital tools and metrics
