Role Description The Cluster Manager – First Mile Operations is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for overseeing first mile logistics operations across an assigned cluster. This role focuses on managing daily pickup operations, ensuring adherence to service-level agreements, optimizing route planning, and maintaining high standards of operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Manager will coordinate with warehouse teams, courier partners, and local operations staff to resolve issues, reduce delays, and improve first mile performance metrics.

Responsibilities include monitoring data and dashboards,



implementing process improvements, managing staffing and resource allocation, and enforcing safety and compliance guidelines. The role also involves regular reporting, stakeholder communication, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support overall network performance and business growth.

Qualifications

- Strong operations management skills, including first mile logistics oversight, route optimization, and process improvement.
- Experience in team leadership, performance management, and on-ground workforce supervision in a logistics, eCommerce, or supply chain environment.
- Ability to use data and analytics for decision-making, including monitoring KPIs, identifying trends, and implementing corrective actions.
- Proficiency in using logistics or warehouse management systems, Excel or similar tools, and basic reporting dashboards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for coordinating with internal teams, courier partners, and clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field; advanced qualifications in logistics or supply chain are an advantage.
- Knowledge of safety, compliance, and quality standards in logistics operations, with a focus on first mile and pickup processes.
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment, prioritize multiple tasks, and maintain a high level of accountability and integrity.
