A cafe cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment within the cafe, ensuring guest comfort and safety. Their duties include daily cleaning tasks like sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces, as well as restroom and kitchen maintenance. Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Cleaning:
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting all areas of the cafe, including dining areas, restrooms, and kitchen.
- Wiping down tables, chairs, and other surfaces to remove spills and debris.
- Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and countertops.
- Emptying trash and recycling bins.
- Maintaining a tidy and organized setting throughout the cafe.
- Kitchen Maintenance:
- Washing dishes, cutlery, and glassware.
- Cleaning kitchen equipment and surfaces.
- Ensuring proper food storage and handling practices.
- Safety and Sanitation:
- Regularly disinfecting high-touch surfaces, such as door handles and light switches.
- Maintaining a clean and organized environment to prevent accidents and spills.
- Ensuring all cleaning supplies are stocked and readily available.
- Other Duties:
- May assist with light maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs or cleaning windows.
- May be required to work during busy periods or weekends, depending on the cafe's operating hours.
- Following all health and safety regulations and procedures.
