JOB PURPOSE: The incumbent would be responsible for end to end Gypsum sourcing (Natural Gypsum / FGD / Chemical etc) with expertise in related logistics needs (Dry Bulk, Break Bulk, Container) and would focus on optimizing the movement of goods, including international shipping and chartering, with a focus on cost-effectiveness and efficiency. This position would be responsible for Gypsum sourcing, Vessel Chartering, negotiating freight rates, managing transportation, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.

- Gypsum Sourcing: Responsible for end to end Gypsum sourcing (Natural Gypsum, FGD, Chemical etc). Valuable knowledge of bulk material sourcing from International as well as Domestic sources.
- Chartering and Freight Rate Negotiation: Good knowledge on Chartering of various types like Time charter, Voyage charter and operating a vessel. Negotiate optimal freight rates for various transportation modes (sea, air, land) as well as dry bulk and chartering or specific cargo shipments. Calculation of Voyage cost and demurrages.
- Logistics Strategy Development:



Develop and implement logistics strategies for import/export operations, considering factors like cost, time, and risk.
- Transportation Coordination: Manage and coordinate the movement of goods across the supply chain, including vessel scheduling, port operations, and customs clearance.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to international trade regulations, customs procedures, and shipping guidelines.
- Cost Optimization:

Identify opportunities to reduce logistics costs, such as streamlining processes, negotiating better rates, or exploring alternative transportation options.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze logistics data to identify trends, measure performance, and provide insights for decision-making.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping companies, Port, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
