Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for Cardiac Anesthesia & Intensivists located at Wellness Hospitals in Begumpet. The role involves providing perioperative cardiac anesthesia care, including pre-anesthesia evaluation, intraoperative management, and post-operative pain and hemodynamic control for cardiac and high-risk surgical patients.

Responsibilities include managing patients in cardiac and multidisciplinary intensive care units, overseeing ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, and organ support, and coordinating with cardiologists, surgeons, nurses, and allied health professionals. The role also requires participating in clinical decision-making, emergency response (including code situations), and adherence to evidence-based protocols,



infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines. Additional tasks may include teaching and mentoring clinical staff, contributing to quality improvement initiatives, and maintaining accurate medical documentation and records.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Medicine and Critical Care Medicine, with the ability to manage complex cardiac and critically ill patients.
- Clinical expertise in Anesthesiology, specifically cardiac anesthesia, including perioperative assessment, intraoperative management, and post-operative care.
- Experience or collaborative ability in Pulmonology and ventilatory management, especially in ICU and high-dependency settings.
- Ability to work closely with Critical Care Nursing teams, supporting multidisciplinary care, protocols, and continuous patient monitoring.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS) with postgraduate qualification in Anesthesiology (MD/DNB or equivalent); fellowship or specialized training in Cardiac Anesthesia or Critical Care and DM/DrNB in Cardiac Anesthesia is highly desirable.
- Valid medical registration and licensure as per local regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in interpreting diagnostic and monitoring data (ECG, echocardiography reports, arterial blood gases, hemodynamic parameters).
- Robust clinical judgment, timely decision-making skills, and ability to work effectively in high-acuity, quick-paced environments.
- Commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, continuous learning, and adherence to hospital protocols and national clinical guidelines.
