We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to join our growing data team. This hybrid role bridges the gap between cloud data architecture and enterprise reporting. You will be responsible for engineering high-performance data structures in Snowflake, modeling robust metadata layers, and delivering interactive, pixel-perfect executive dashboards in IBM Cognos Analytics.

The ideal candidate is a full-stack data professional who can seamlessly transition from writing complex cloud-native SQL scripts to designing intuitive business-facing analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1.Cognos Report Developer

- Report & Dashboard Development: Architect, author, and maintain complex, interactive reports, enterprise scorecards, and cross-functional dashboards using Cognos Analytics / Report Studio. Implement advanced layout features, including cascading prompts, master-detail relationships, and conditional formatting.
- Metadata Modeling: Design and optimize relational and dimensional packages within IBM Cognos Framework Manager. Model clean, business-friendly abstraction layers that simplify data consumption for ad-hoc business users.
- BI Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and tune report execution paths to reduce processing latency and ensure quick front-end load times.

2. Snowflake & SQL Developer

- Advanced SQL Development: Write, test, and tune highly performant SQL queries, secure views, stored procedures,



analytical functions, and User-Defined Functions (UDFs) tailored for Snowflake's cloud execution architecture.
- Database Object Design: Build and manage scalable Snowflake structures, including databases, schemas, tables, file formats, and internal/external stages for optimized data storage.
- Data Pipelines & Automation: Construct and support real-time and batch data ingestion pipelines utilizing Snowflake-native utilities such as Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and SnowSQL.
- Compute & Warehouse Optimization: Evaluate query history and execution plans to optimize data clustering and virtual warehouse sizing, balancing lightning-rapid query speeds with cloud cost management.

3. End-to-End Integration & Data Governance

- Data Mapping & Lineage: Align underlying Snowflake cloud data warehouse models directly with Cognos Framework Manager packages, ensuring strict data integrity across the pipeline.
- Quality Assurance: Draft custom SQL validation scripts to audit, reconcile, and verify data accuracy between backend source systems and final BI reporting outputs.
- Requirements Translation: Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather complex reporting requirements, translating business vision into database schemas and frontend delivery components.
