Company Description Cellumantra Biorefinery Pvt. Ltd. is a DPIIT-recognized green biotechnology startup developing an enzymatic biorefinery platform that converts non-wood agricultural waste into industrial enzymes and advanced biomaterials.

The company focuses on revenue-first enzyme production for sectors such as textiles and wastewater treatment, followed by high-margin cellulose nanofibers (CNF) for sustainable materials. Its technology is optimized for Indian biomass, enabling cost-productive and scalable circular manufacturing. By valorizing farm residues, Cellumantra helps reduce crop-burning practices and dependency on imported raw materials, while promoting climate-resilient industrial growth.

Role Description This is a full-time, remote role for a Bank Guarantee / SBLC Monetization Expert serving as Co-Founder with investments. The expert will lead the sourcing, structuring, and monetization of bank guarantees and standby letters of credit (SBLCs) to support project finance and working capital needs for biorefinery operations.

Day-to-day responsibilities include engaging with international and domestic financial institutions, negotiating monetization terms, and coordinating compliance and documentation for trade finance instruments. The role involves collaborating with the founding team on capital strategy, advising on risk mitigation, and integrating financial structures into long-term growth plans. The Co-Founder will also contribute to investor relations, participate in high-level strategic decisions, and ensure transparent communication with stakeholders regarding funding pipelines and timelines.

Qualifications

- Strong Finance expertise, including trade finance, structured finance,



and experience with bank guarantees and SBLC monetization.
- Excellent Communication skills for negotiating with financial institutions, collaborating with co-founders, and presenting complex financial structures clearly.
- Customer Service orientation for managing relationships with investors, lenders, and strategic partners in a professional and responsive manner.
- Deep understanding of Credit assessment, risk analysis, and collateral structures related to guarantees and SBLCs.
- Knowledge of Insurance-linked instruments, risk coverage, and integration of insurance solutions into financing structures.
- Proven track record in raising capital for startups or infrastructure/industrial projects, preferably in energy, biotech, or cleantech.
- Experience working with international banking systems, compliance standards (KYC/AML), and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to operate effectively in a remote, founder-level role with high accountability and decision-making authority.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; professional certifications in trade finance or investment banking are an advantage.
