Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure API Developer with expertise in Azure API Management (APIM) to design, develop, implement, and support secure, scalable API solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in API development, Azure integration services, API security, and cloud-native application development.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement RESTful APIs using Azure services.
- Configure, administer, and manage Azure API Management (APIM).
- Publish, secure, version, and monitor APIs using Azure APIM.
- Develop API policies for authentication, authorization, throttling, transformation, caching, rate limiting, and routing.
- Integrate APIs with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, App Services, Service Bus, Event Grid, and Event Hubs.
- Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, Azure AD, JWT, API Keys, and Managed Identity.
- Develop and maintain API documentation using OpenAPI (Swagger).
- Build reusable integrations and microservices following Azure cloud best practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize API performance.
- Work closely with architects, DevOps, and application teams throughout the SDLC.
- Support CI/CD deployments using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

Required Skills

- 2–4 years of IT experience with at least 1+ years of hands-on experience in Azure API Management (APIM).

- Experience creating APIM policies for authentication, transformation, caching, routing, and rate limiting.
- Knowledge of C#, .NET Core, or Java for API development.
- Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong troubleshooting and production support experience.

Positive to Have

- Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Docker.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and event-driven design.
- Experience with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates for Infrastructure as Code.
- Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and Azure Key Vault.
- Exposure to messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-204, AZ-305, AZ-400, or Azure Integration-related certifications).

Education
