About the Role

Chandigarh University invites applications for the positions of Associate Professor and Professor in the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology under the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences. The University seeks dynamic academicians and research-oriented professionals committed to excellence in teaching, innovation, and institutional development.

Responsibilities

- Academic Responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in core MLT subjects.
- Conduct and supervise laboratory practical sessions.
- Develop and revise curriculum in line with UGC and industry standards.
- Prepare academic documentation including lesson plans, course files, and evaluation reports.
- Adopt cutting-edge teaching methodologies and digital learning platforms.

- Associate Professor
- Publish research papers in UGC-CARE / Scopus indexed journals.
- Guide postgraduate dissertations.
- Apply for minor/major funded research projects.
- Present research at conferences and seminars.

- Professor
- Lead funded research projects and research clusters.
- Secure national/international grants.
- Supervise Ph.D. scholars.
- Publish in high-impact journals and contribute to patents and innovations.
- Foster interdisciplinary and industry collaborations.

- Academic Leadership & Administration
- Associate Professor
- Participate in curriculum development committees.




- Assist in NAAC/NIRF documentation.
- Organize academic workshops, seminars, and FDPs.
- Support internship and hospital tie-ups.

- Provide departmental leadership and strategic planning.
- Mentor junior faculty members.
- Contribute to Academic Council and policy formulation.
- Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance.

Qualifications

- Associate Professor
- M.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology or relevant discipline.
- Ph.D. in relevant field (as per norms).
- Minimum 8 years of teaching/research/industry experience.
- Required research publications as per UGC guidelines.

- Ph.D. in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- Minimum 12–15 years of academic/research experience.
- Significant publication record in indexed journals.
- Experience supervising doctoral research.
- Demonstrated academic leadership.

Required Skills

- Expertise in diagnostic instrumentation and laboratory management.
- Grant writing and funded project experience.
- Knowledge of accreditation frameworks (NAAC, NABL, etc.).
- Strong communication, mentoring, and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills

- Achievement of annual publication and research targets.
- Effective student mentorship and academic excellence.
- Contribution to accreditation, ranking, and institutional development.
- Active participation in university committees and initiatives.
