Position Title: Associate Director (Compensation & Benefits, PMS)

Reports To: Partner

Location: Mumbai (Dadar)

Experience: 8-15 years of experience in Performance Management and Compensation Benefits in a skilled services firm or similar.

About the Role:

We are seeking a visionary and strategic Head of Performance and Compensation Management (Associate Director level) to lead this area for Senior Leadership at BDO India.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and maintain performance appraisal processes, goal-setting methodologies, and continuous feedback systems
- Analyse performance metrics, data trends and report findings to senior leadership
- Collaborate with department heads to draft action plans for underperformance and support succession planning
- Build compensation strategy aligned with BDO India’s business goals, culture, and growth ambitions
- Partner closely with leadership, Finance, and other stakeholders
- Manage the annual compensation planning cycle – including merit increases, bonuses, and promotions
- Institutionalize a structured, scalable, and inclusive Performance Management system
- Develop incentive plans (short-term and long-term) aligned with business outcomes
- Identify, evaluate, and implement compensation management tools/systems

Key Requirements:

- 8 -15 years of experience in Performance Management and Compensation Benefits; experience in a professional services or consulting firm is preferred.




- Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into business insights and recommendations.
- Strategic thinking with a strong grasp of business drivers and talent dynamics.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across senior leadership levels.
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, evolving setting with a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset.
- Strong ability to build financial models, manipulate large datasets, and translate metrics into actionable reward strategies.
- Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet analysis.
- Exceptional presentation and stakeholder management skills to influence leadership and clearly articulate compensation structures.
