Role Description The Academic Counselor role at Mark X Eduverse is a full-time, on-site position based in Kozhikode.

The Academic

Counselor will guide students in their academic journeys by offering personalized counseling, helping them understand their strengths, and supporting them in setting realistic educational goals. Daily responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, providing academic advising, assisting with course and program selection, and collaborating with educators to monitor student progress. The role also involves career counseling, organizing informational sessions for learners and families,



maintaining accurate records, and contributing to initiatives that enhance student engagement and success.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated skills in Student Counseling and Academic Advising focused on supporting diverse learners.
- Solid Communication abilities for one-on-one sessions, group interactions, and collaboration with families and educators.
- Experience or training in Career Counseling to help learners explore pathways aligned with their interests and strengths.
- Background in Education, such as a degree in education, psychology, counseling, or a related field.
- Empathy, active listening, and a student-centered mindset, with the ability to work in an inclusive, non-judgmental manner.
- Organizational and documentation skills to manage student records and follow up on academic plans.
- Familiarity with modern educational approaches and willingness to adapt counseling strategies to individual needs.
- Prior experience in school or academic counseling settings is an advantage.
