a JOB OBJECTIVE:

Northern Arc Capital is looking for a Senior Associate to join its Risk Monitoring team. The primary responsibility will be for credit risk and monitoring in the Mid-Market segment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Pre- Investment: Due diligence on Business Model and Operations, Financial and Governance Aspects.
- Post-investment: Periodic credit analysis & risk monitoring of partner companies in the Mid-Market segment.
- Emerging Corporates reporting on Early warning signals or signs of deterioration in Credit risk.
- Visiting partners and interacting with their top management and functional team to understand the business model and identify potential risk areas. In case of identified risks, provide more recommendations on possible measures to mitigate them through incremental steps and monitor progress.
- Performing periodic credit analysis for client onboarding approvals, limit enhancements, and setting covenants on term sheets across products.
- Adding to the body of understanding of asset classes in which Northern Arc is working, with a focus on identified sectors, by participating in due diligence with the Business origination team, participating in credit committee meetings, research, blogs, or any secondary study.
- Monitoring sector-level risks and recommending the necessary course of action at an entity and sector level, as well as engaging with other stakeholders such as investors, credit bureaus, etc.

Experience:





At least 5 to 7 years of total professional experience in credit analysis, credit research, or corporate finance (Banks, NBFCs, Investment Funds, or rating agencies). Candidates with prior lending experience would be preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

MBA in Finance from Top-20 Institution/ CA (all levels passed) / Master's in Finance or Commerce.

A CFA Charter or FRM certification would be considered a significant advantage.

Required Skills:

- Financial analysis skills to analyze partner entities in the Mid-Market Space and Emerging Corporates.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Technical Skills: Financial Statement Analysis, Business Plan Analysis, Evaluation of Management & Governance, Operations, etc.
- Detail-oriented, good prioritization skills, pro-active and goal-oriented
- Strong analytical skills. Good understanding of products.
- Working knowledge of MS Office tools.
- Ability to provide clear, succinct, and timely risk analysis reports.
- Willingness to travel to client location to understand business and operational model.
- Experience of and ability to stretch oneself, work under pressure, handle multiple assignments simultaneously, and deliver on deadlines.
- Solid work ethic, positive attitude, self-motivated individual having an ability to work individually and as part of a team.
