Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer to lead quality assurance efforts across our Data & Analytics ecosystem. This role will be responsible for validating end-to-end data pipelines, data platforms, APIs, and analytics solutions through a combination of manual and automated testing practices. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL, API testing, Python-based automation, and data validation methodologies, with a proven ability to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and reliability across complex enterprise environments.

The successful candidate will be a proactive quality champion who can identify risks early, perform root cause analysis, establish testing best practices, and leverage emerging technologies-including AI-assisted testing capabilities-to improve efficiency and test coverage at scale. Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM) concepts and modern test automation tools such as Playwright is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Data Testing & Validation

- Validate end-to-end data ingestion, transformation, and data warehouse processing across batch and streaming workloads
- Design and execute functional test cases such as accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reconciliation for ETL/ELT data flows
- Perform testing across various data architectures, including Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Medallion Architectures

QA Strategy & Test Planning
- Develop comprehensive QA strategies aligned with project objectives and release timelines
- Identify and define appropriate testing approaches, including functional, integration, regression, system, performance, API, and user acceptance testing
- Create detailed test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and traceability matrices
- Establish quality gates and testing standards across Data & Analytics initiatives

Automation Testing
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for data validation and application testing
- Build reusable automation solutions to reduce manual testing efforts and improve coverage
- Support regression testing and continuous quality validation across environments

API Testing
- Perform functional and integration testing of REST APIs using Postman and similar tools
- Validate API request/response structures, data integrity, error handling, authentication, and performance
- Automate API test execution and reporting where applicable

Performance & Load Testing
- Design and execute performance, load, and stress testing activities for data pipelines and applications
- Analyze system behavior under varying workloads and identify bottlenecks
- Validate scalability, stability, and responsiveness of solutions under production-like loads

Data Analysis & SQL Validation




- Develop complex SQL queries to validate source-to-target data movement and transformations
- Perform root cause analysis for data quality and testing issues
- Analyze large data sets to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and performance concerns
- Support troubleshooting and defect resolution activities

Documentation & Quality Governance
- Maintain comprehensive testing documentation, test plans, execution reports, and defect logs
- Establish and promote QA best practices, testing standards, and governance processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in quality processes

Skill Requirements

- 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance in Data & Analytics initiatives
- Solid expertise in SQL and Python for test automation, data validation, and quality engineering use cases
- Hands-on experience in API Testing using Postman or similar tools, including REST API validation, automation, authentication, and integration testing
- Experience designing and executing functional, integration, regression, system, UAT, and end-to-end testing
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks for data and application testing
- Experience with performance, load, and stress testing methodologies and tools
- Exposure to AI-driven testing frameworks, generative AI, AI-assisted test automation, or intelligent quality engineering solutions
- Familiarity with Master Data Management concepts, data stewardship, and data governance practices
- Experience testing modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, or similar
- Understanding of dimensional modeling, CDC, incremental processing, and enterprise data integration patterns
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex data and application issues
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills

- Experience with Playwright for web application test automation

Working knowledge of Java for automation framework development and test scripting
