- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with production, business, and cost objectives.
- Manage sourcing and procurement of direct materials, components, assemblies, raw materials, consumables, and indirect materials.
- Identify, evaluate, develop, and onboard recent suppliers as per company requirements.
- Negotiate price, payment terms, delivery schedules, tooling, logistics, and commercial conditions with suppliers.
- Drive cost reduction, alternate source development, and annual cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of materials to support production requirements and avoid line stoppages.
- Monitor supplier performance related to quality, cost, delivery, capacity, and responsiveness.
- Coordinate with Production, PPC, Quality, Engineering, Stores, R&D;, and Finance for procurement-related activities.
- Work closely with suppliers for new product development, localization, samples, trials, and PPAP requirements.




- Monitor material price fluctuations, market trends, and commodity prices to support effective sourcing decisions.
- Develop alternate sources and ensure business continuity for critical components.
- Review supplier capacity, infrastructure, manufacturing capabilities, and financial/commercial stability.
- Ensure timely closure of supplier-related issues concerning delivery, quality, pricing, and capacity.
- Monitor open purchase orders and ensure timely delivery as per production schedules.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with organizational policies, approval processes, and applicable quality standards.
- Prepare and review procurement MIS, cost-saving reports, supplier performance reports, and other management reports.
