We're looking for a hands-on Palantir Foundry engineer to design and build ontology-driven data foundations and operational applications for our clients. You'll work across the full Foundry stack — from pipeline engineering to ontology modeling to AIP-powered app building — translating business requirements into production-grade solutions that teams can trust and build on.
What you'll do:
- Build and maintain data pipelines using Pipeline Builder and Code Repositories, writing PySpark/Python transforms to power Foundry's data foundation.
- Design and govern the shared ontology in Ontology Manager — modeling object types, link types, and action types that accurately represent the business.
- Build operational applications using Workshop and OSDK, translating ontology objects into usable, business-facing tools.
- Develop AIP-backed capabilities using Agent Studio and Logic, including LLM-backed functions in TypeScript/Python, with working knowledge of AIP Evals to test and validate quality.
- Manage releases across environments (Dev → UAT → Prod) using Foundry's branching, DevOps, and Marketplace-based promotion workflows.
- Partner with business and client stakeholders to translate requirements into robust ontology design and Foundry-native applications.
What you bring:
- Hands-on experience across the core Foundry stack:
Ontology Manager (object/link/action types), Pipeline Builder, and Code Repositories (PySpark/Python transforms).
- Practical AIP experience — Agent Studio, Logic, and building LLM-backed functions in TypeScript/Python — along with familiarity with AIP Evals.
- Strong ontology design and governance skills — modeling entities and relationships, defining action types, and managing a shared ontology across multiple teams.
- Experience with Foundry release management — branching, DevOps practices, and Marketplace-based promotion across environments.
- Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into clean, scalable Foundry data foundations and operational apps.
Positive to have:
- OSDK experience for custom front-ends or external system integrations.
- Exposure to Palantir MCP and Ontology MCP.
- Strong core data engineering fundamentals — SQL, Python/PySpark, schema design, and incremental pipeline patterns.
- Foundry administration experience — Spaces, markings/CBAC, project structuring, and access governance.
- Familiarity with change management / SDLC discipline for analytics platforms, including environment separation and promotion pipelines.
- Prior client-facing or stakeholder-facing delivery experience.
