Job Description: A Store Officer manages the end-to-end material flow in a steel manufacturing and moulding facility. Core responsibilities include overseeing raw materials, consumables, and spares, managing physical inventory, executing stock audits, and operating the SAP MM Module for accurate inward/outward documentation and reporting. - Unload and verify incoming raw materials (steel coils, plates, or moulding granules) against delivery challans and Purchase Orders (PO).
- Inspect materials for damages, defects, or deviations from technical specifications before inwarding. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

2. SAP Inventory Operations [1]

- Create and process Material Received Notes (MRN) and Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) directly in SAP.
- Manage Goods Issue (GI) slips for materials, consumables, and moulding spares requested by production shifts.
- Perform system updates for material transfers, stock adjustments, and scrap generation to ensure zero discrepancies in the SAP ledger. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]

3. Storage & Moulding Area Management

- Ensure safe, orderly, and hazard-free stacking of steel products and moulding components.
- Apply FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) methods for raw materials and consumables to prevent expiry or degradation.
- Track master samples and specialized moulding dies, ensuring they are stored in optimal conditions. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

4. Stock Auditing & Reconciliation [1]





- Conduct periodic cycle counts and routine physical verifications of inventory.
- Reconcile physical counts with SAP system data, identifying and resolving root causes for any variances.
- Generate MIS reports regarding reorder levels, slow-moving stock, and potential shortages to avoid production delays. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

5. Cross-Functional Coordination [1, 2]

- Collaborate closely with the Procurement and Purchasing Department to flag low-stock items and track pending deliveries.
- Liaise with the Production and Quality Control Teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and correct scrap segregation. [1, 2, 3, 4]

6. Safety & Compliance

- Enforce 5S methodology and plant safety regulations inside the storage area.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe material handling equipment by store personnel. [1, 2]

Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 2 to 3 years of proven experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or warehouse management within a steel or plastics/moulding manufacturing workplace. [1, 2]
- Technical Skills: Mandatory working knowledge of SAP software, specifically the Material Management (MM) and Production Planning (PP) modules. [1, 2]
