X-Ray Procedures/ Equipment Handling
- Greet, prepare and counsel patients and their families about the X-ray procedures
- Checking of patient details/treatment prescribed from file before proceeding with the
X-ray process
- Correctly positioning the patient and equipment before carrying out the X-ray
- In case of consult X-ray, the procedure should be conducted in the presence of anaesthetic for medications
- Abiding the NABH guidelines, hospital guidelines and government guidelines in conducting X-Ray procedures
- Developing and checking the quality of X-ray images
- Ensure proper handling of X-ray film cassettes for continued use
- Replenish X-ray bin and X-ray films as and when needed
- Maintain X-ray room and stock up necessery radiological supplies
- Ensuring equipments are in proper working condition and in case of any problem inform the biomedical engineer on timely basis
- Maintaining cleanliness in the X-ray area and entire diagnosis department
- Transferring of patients in other departments as per requirement
- Informing about equipment breakdown immediately to the chief technician/manager or company
- Pre-arrangement of linen for patients
- Consulting a doctor/physician in case of doubt before X-ray
- Listing of materials as per requirement
- Attending to on-call emergencies and non working days
- Coordinating with reception and other sections of radiology as and when required
